The Shag Pile team will be bringing our passion for all things swing to the gardens with a heavy emphasis on fun and good times to get everyone cutting a rug. Bring your mum! Catch us at the following times:

Classes and workshops will cover Lindy Hop, Charleston, Collegate Shag and more and be interspersed with fun routines, demonstrations social dance interludes.
A full time table of classes will be provided shortly. All lessons and workshops will run on a first come first served basis, so please arrive early to sign-up. All lessons will also be provided on a voluntary donation basis, once the class has ended and the hat is passed, please tip our wonderful instructors accordingly.
For those that want to come and just dance all day to beautiful swing and hot jazz , On the Gardens is proud to present the World’s only 78rpm valve sound system. London’s Mouthful Of Jam http://www.mouthfulojam.com.
The system will be in residence for the entire bank holiday weekend and located left of the foot tunnel, MFOJ creator, founder and Art Deco Sound System builder par excellence, DJ Paul Golledge and guests provide vintage dance floor fillers in all their glory whilst the Thames and London’s riverbanks provides the stunning back drop to dance the day away.
As with all events On the Gardens, a vintage Market will be the centre piece, running straight down the middle of the plaza forming a pop-up market street for three days with traders selling all kinds of wonderful vintage clothes , accessories , collectables , home ware and records.
Numerous food vendors at key points On the Gardens will be serving up tasty cuisine from around the world.
